YO, PUT THE GUN DOWN! (A Hip-Hop Symphony)
A Youth and Young Adults Anti-Gun Violence musical theatre initiative and outreach program, which offers performing and creative arts as a platform to addresses and heightens awareness about the impact of gun violence. Healing Through Hip-Hop offers 188 hours of studio time and 15 Artists Development scholarships, trauma and healing workshops, mental health resources, and mentorship programs.
Chew and Chelten CDC/Watts Facility Solutions PHL-TCB
A commerical corridor cleaning and management project sponsored by the Department of Commerce. The cleanup and management department, which employs 2 Cleaning Ambassadors, operates from the area of Chew and Phil Ellene to Chew and Locust Avenues 5 days a week.
Share Food Program
In partnership with New Journey Christian Center COGIC
The Share Food Program is a bi-weekly food distribution project that serves East Germantown's most vulnerable citizens: 12% of food cupboard recipients are elderly and 36% are children. The program provides them with nourishing foods and vegetables.
